Physical Therapist and Owner
Sue received her Bachelors of Science in Biology from West Chester University and Masters of Physical Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia,PA. Upon graduating, she worked in a women's health clinic, followed by a cancer focused hospital and began specializing in treating women specific conditions including treating SI dysfunction in the maternity and post-pardum population, and post surgical care for breast augmentation, reconstruction, and post mastectomy procedures. Sue now works with a variety of populations and diagnoses with the same focus- finding the source of injury and correcting the underlying cause. This mindset is the foundation for how all patients are treated at ElmTree.
Sue is certified for Direct Access in the state of Pennsylvania. She has completed post graduate coursework in Oncology, Craniosacral therapy, Myofascial Therapy, and Sports Medicine and is currently pursuing a specialization in the Certified Integrative Manual Therapy approach.
Originally from NEPA, Susan now lives in the area with her husband Joe and three children, Ellie, Luca, and Marco. They love Hockey (GO FLYERS!), biking, hiking for waterfalls, and going on adventures.
Julia Blaskiewicz is a Honesdale native who graduated from Misericordia University in which she received her Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management in 2013 and Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2016. While fulfilling her graduate requirements, she completed her affiliations specializing in Neuro at HealthSouth Neuro Outpatient PT and John Heinz Inpatient Rehab Unit as well as Pediatrics at Janet Weis Hospital at Geisinger. Upon graduation, Julia worked in a variety of settings including acute care, inpatient rehab and outpatient services prior to joining ElmTree where she specializes in Parkinson’s, Neurological Conditions including stroke and vestibular therapy, and Pediatrics.
Julia is certified in LSVT BIG, a program that treats Parkinson’s Disease with a specific exercise protocol focusing on high amplitude movements and Rock Steady Boxing, a program that gives those with Parkinson’s a chance to fight back against their diagnosis with a non-contact, boxing-inspired fitness curriculum. Julia has completed additional post graduate training in Vestibular Therapy. In her free time, she enjoys long distance running including marathons and participating in CrossFit.
Physical Therapy Assistant
Tim grew up in neighboring Honesdale and is a 2014 graduate of Lackawanna College’s Physical Therapist Assistant program. His interest in PT began when he spent several months going through physical therapy himself after sustaining serious injuries in a car accident while in high school. He credits his surgeon and, of course, his PT for his full recovery. Tim enjoys treating all kinds of varying diagnoses but has a passion for orthopedics and sports medicine. He has taken several continuing education classes and certification courses on orthopedic conditions and sports injuries. In his free time, Tim enjoys attending live music events and spending time with his family, fiancé, and friends.
Physical Therapy Assistant
Allison is a Physical Therapist Assistant here at ElmTree Wellness and Physical Therapy. She enjoys working with the geriatric and neurological populations.
Allison was born and raised in the Honesdale PA area and played Field Hockey and ran Track and Field. She is a graduate and Alumni of Lackawanna College and was a 4-time Presidential list recipient.
Her hobbies include, spending time with her family and dog, camping, cooking and trying new recipes, watching movies, and going on side by side rides with her friends and family.
Strength & Conditioning Coach
Owen runs our Sports Specific Training and Adult Training at ElmTree at The Sports Factory. Owen is a 2004 Graduate of Penn State University. He has a bachelor’s of science degree in Kinesiology and is a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Owen also has earned continuing education certifications as a Functional Movement Specialist, Sports Performance Training, Senior Population Training, and Neuromuscular Stretching.
Owen enjoys watching all kinds of sports, listening to music, cooking food on the grill and other outdoor activities.
Taylor, our Personal Trainer and Physical Therapy Aide, was born and raised in Honesdale, PA. She began bodybuilding as a hobby which lead her to obtain her NASM Personal Trainer Certification in 2018 in hopes to share her passion with others. Outside of personal training, Taylor enjoys golfing, attending concerts and sporting events, and spending time with family and friends.
Heather, our Office Manager, handles insurance verification, scheduling and patient relations for all ElmTree locations.
Heather was born and raised in the Lake Region Area. She loves summer and all activities associated with the season. In her free time, she loves to bake, garden and spend time with her family. She lives locally with her husband and two children.
